The Little Burley Market is held on the first Saturday of each month on the scenic shores of Lake Burley
Griffin. Designed to showcase the best of the region’s makers, foodies, and creatives, the market offers a
thoughtfully curated mix of high-quality stalls in a relaxed lakeside setting.
From 9am until 2pm, visitors can explore an ever-changing range of locally produced goods, including
handmade jewellery, ceramics, original artworks, fashion, freshly baked pastries and more! The market
proudly supports small businesses and independent producers, bringing together a vibrant community of
local talent every month.
With multicultural street food, chef-crafted desserts, and live local music, The Little Burley Market offers
more than just shopping—it’s an experience. Arts and crafts activities, facepainting, workshops and
demonstrations add to the market’s family-friendly atmosphere, making it a popular destination for
locals and tourists alike. It is the perfect place to stop after a walk or bike ride, enjoy brunch with friends
and family, or find a quintessentially Canberran gift.
Positioned against the iconic backdrop of Lake Burley Griffin, the market has quickly become a must-visit
event, celebrated for its welcoming atmosphere, quality offerings, and scenic charm.
